ST. JOSEPH, MO. (2010-1-18) Heartland Health in St. Joseph has landed another national award.

The hospital is receiving the Foster McGaw Prize from the American Hospital Association. The award comes with $100,000, and honors the hospital for its efforts to improve lives in the St. Joseph region. Among the initiatives that helped get the recognition is the Em-Power Plant, the 12-week Pound Plunge Community Effort, and public achievement in teaching regional kids Civic Responsibility.
