MARYVILLE, MO (2010-1-15) Four persons were injured in a two-vehicle head accident just South of Maryville on highway 71 yesterday afternoon at approximately 12:30.
The accident involved a black Ford Escort driven by 46 year old Terry Hicks of Maryville and a red Ford Windstar van driven by 78 year old Ralph Conz, junior of Pickering. According to Maryville public safety director Keith Wood the two vehicles struck nearly head-on. Wood says Hicks and Conz were seriously injured. Also seriously injured were passengers in the van- 81 year old Viola Conz of Pickering and 71 year old Isabelle Auffert of Maryville. Hicks was taken by lifeflight helicopter to St. Joseph for further treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Conz and Mrs. Auffert were taken to St. Francis in Maryville.
