Savannah, MO (1/11/2010) The Savannah City Council is weighing a re-zoning request until its next regular meeting.
The planning and zoning board has approved the request of Gerald Terhune to re-zone a lot on South Highway 71 from residential to c-2 commercial.
The city will consider both the board's approval and the request when it meets again next week.
At the last meeting council members also agreed the initial assessment meeting for the state's "Dream" program went well.
Savannah is one of just a handful of communities that were chosen to work with state agencies and consultants to upgrade their downtown district.
The city also approved the low bid for a skid steer loader to be used for street, water, cemetery, and sewer operations.
Victor L. Phillips was awarded the purchase of a Case 440 loader.
