Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and much of Missouri are preparing for a severe winter storm to move through the area tomorrow night and Thursday.
The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill reports a storm off the west coast is expected to move into the plains states tomorrow evening and Thursday. Weather service forecasters say the models for this storm have been consistent over the past couple of days. Missouri could see significant amounts of snow and ice from this snow.
The National Weather Service predicts areas south of St. Joseph will see more sleet and freezing rain. Significant ice accumulations are expected south of Interstate 70 in Missouri. The worst of the storm could be in the area during the morning commute Thursday morning.© Copyright, KXCV
