A bill has been introduced in the Missouri General Assembly that would drastically change the way higher education institutions are funded.
4th District State Representative Mike Thomson of Maryville is a member of the House Higher Education Appropriations Committee. He says the new proposal would base a school's funding on performance.
Thomson says the House Bill differs from a plan promoted by Governor Jay Nixon.Thomson says he anticipates a spirited discussion in the House before the bill is put up for vote.© Copyright, KXCV
