The Northwest Missouri State forensics team wins the state championship.

The Speaking Bearcats won the honor at Bolivar earlier this month. Northwest President Dr. John Jasinksi says the award was a result of good preparation.

Northwest senior Carl Stafford was named best speaker in Missouri and state champion of dramatic interpretation. Junior Sam Stone is state champion of poetry interpretation and junior Gabbi Ray won the state title of oral interpretation.
