Post Office Box

Swetnam

USA (2013-02-08)

The United States Postal service may discontinue mail delivery to homes and businesses on Saturdays later this year.

U-S-P-S MidAmerica district spokesperson Richard Watkins says the decision is a big step in helping reduce the costs of their operation.

Post Offices that have scheduled operating hours on Saturdays will stay open. Watkins says those who depend on getting mail on Saturdays can rent a P.O. box.The post office in Maryville is one location with Saturday operating hours. Packages will still be delivered on Saturdays. The change is scheduled for August.
