February is National Fitness Month.

According to Northwest Missouri State Head Athletic Trainer Kelly Quinlin, proper diet and understanding your family's history with injury all go into being physically fit. Quinlin says those who live a healthy lifestyle are less prone to illness or injury.

Quinlin says joining a local gym is a great way to stay in shape during the winter months.
