Missouri Department of Transportation officials are recommending motorists stay off the region's roadways today due to the latest snowstorm.

Customer Relations Specialists with MoDOT in St. Joseph, Marcia Johnson, says roads in the northern Missouri continue to be covered.

Johnson says today's snowstorm is a wetter, heavier snow that what was experienced last week.Johnson again adds MoDot has issued a travel advisory for northern Missouri urging motorists to stay off the roadways until MoDot crews can clear the snow.
