Lamoni Heritage Celebration

The City of Lamoni is celebrating their heritage this month with the annual Lamoni Cultural Heritage Celebration.

Lamoni is known for being a diverse community, partially in result of Graceland University. Member of the Intercultural Community of Lamoni, Sophie Ryan, says it's important to celebrate cultural diversity.

The Lamoni Cultural Heritage Celebration will include a number of activities for the public including live music, ethnic foods and exotic clothing. Ryan adds there will also be a passport activity for kids to collect stickers from the different cultures represented at the fair. The Celebration takes place from 4 to 6pm on February 23 in the Lamoni High School Gym.
