Clarinda, IA (2013-02-15)

Clarinda Lied Public Library Director Andrew Hoppmann has been selected to participate as a mentor in the I-LEAD USA program.

'Innovative Librarians Explore, Apply, and Discover' is a year-long project that partners Iowa librarians with participants from four Illinois, Colorado, Utah and Ohio. Hoppmann says the program is designed to research ways technology can enhance services offered by libraries.

Hoppmann says the project requires participants to attend three four-day sessions in a nine-month period held simultaneously in all five states. The program is funded through a Laura Busch 21st Century Librarian program grant.
