Levee Success

Wayman

WASHINGTON, MO (2012-02-9)

Missouri lawmakers in Washington say they are pleased with how things are progressing on Missouri River management.

Both senators Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskill have been part of the Missouri River working group, a team of federal lawmakers with constituents in the Missouri River Valley. Senator Blunt says the group has kept pressure on federal policy groups and purse strings to make sure levee repairs move forward.

Blunt, McCaskill, and Missouri governor Nixon are all scheduled to be in Columbia on Saturday for the Missouri Levee and Drainage Association Conference.
