A new musical group is reviving jazz in northwest Missouri.

Amalgam Jazz Quintet hosts a weekly jazz-jam session at Pappy's Grill and Pub in St. Joseph. Band front man Beaux Lux says all music should be supported.

The Amalgam Jazz Quintet performs at Pappy's every Wednesday night from 8:30 until 11:30 at night at Pappy's Grill.
