Missouri's governor appoints a new first district commissioner for Linn County.

Bill Dorsey of Brookfield is the former mayor of the city and owns Tooey Mercantile, the oldest retail business in Brookfield. Dorsey has also served as a board member of the Brookfield Industrial Development Authority and of Pershing Memorial Hospital. His appointment fills the vacancy after Linn County commissioner Randy Wade resigned.
