TARKIO, MO (2012-02-23)
The National Weather Service released the first spring flood outlook for 2012 for our region.
The outlook indicates flood risk will be near normal this spring, and Scott Watson of the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill says flooding in the local area will be driven by Rainfall if the current trend of snowpack continues.
The Tarkio River near Fairfax had the highest probability of flooding in northwest Missouri with a 50 to 60% chance, with the rest of the area near 20%. The flood outlook will be updated again March 1st.© Copyright, KXCV
