The 3 law enforcement agencies in Maryville are partnering together to keep large crowds safe.

A vehicle has been purchased and outfitted with communication and other equipment for Maryville Public Safety, the Nodaway County Sheriff, and Northwest Missouri State Police to use in the event of a large-scale emergency. Clarence Green is the director of the university police. He says the joint program is known as the mobile emergency response vehicle.

Green says with equipment instillation about complete, the emergency response vehicle is almost ready to be used in the field.
