CHILLICOTHE, MO (2012-02-07)

The Chillicothe City Council unanimously agrees to continue funding the economic development position for the city.

The position is funded by the city, Chillicothe Municipal Utilities, farmers Electric Cooperative and the Chillicothe Development Corporation. Chillicothe mayor Chuck Haney says the economic developer brings jobs to Livingston county.

The economic developer is under contract, which must be renewed each year by the four entities.
