A Braymer Missouri woman is injured after her car struck a deer last night.

27 year old Emily Bassett was driving southbound on Route A about 3 miles north of Braymer around 7 O'clock. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, that's when her 2001 Chrysler struck a deer that was in the roadway. The vehicle was damaged  in the front from the impact but was able to be brought to a controlled stop on the shoulder. Bassett was wearing her seat belt and received only minor injuries, and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center.
