MARYVILLE, MO (NaN-NaN-NaN)
It's the 3rd annual "Empty Bowls" supper. Patrons will receive soup and bread in a hand-made pottery bowl created by Northwest students. Diners can take the bowl home with them as a reminder of hunger and nutrition awareness. Laura Kukkee is an assistant professor of art at the university in Maryville and says the students take the project to heart. Last year $3,000 were raised for the Ministry Center Food Pantry. The Empty Bowls supper is tomorrow night in the Station Conference Center on the university campus in Maryville. It runs from 5:30 to 8.© Copyright, KXCV
