Drug Dog Bust

Wayman

BETHANY, MO (NaN-NaN-NaN)

The Highway Patrol recently called the Sheriff's Office to request the K-9 Unit for a stop on interstate 35 south of Bethany. Service dog "Jerik" and a deputy arrived at the scene where Jerik picked up a scent. Inside the car investigators say they found a little more than a pound of marijuana and two people were arrested. Their names weren't immediately available. The Nodaway County Sheriff says it's an example of how law enforcement has a common goal to combat crime and working together they can achieve it.
