Wilmes Acha Award

MARYVILLE, MO (2010-2-12) Dr. Gerald Wilmes, the director of health services at Northwest Missouri State, has been named an American College Health Association Fellow.

Being named a "Fellow" is an honor that acknowledges the professional accomplishments including the recipients' leadership and service within the Acha. Wilmes is a member of the medical staff at St. Francis hospital and health services in Maryville, as well as part of the ethics committees for both St. Francis and Heartland hospital in St. Joseph. Wilmes is also on the governor's advisory council on physical fitness and health and the Missouri higher education subcommittee PF the homeland security advisory council. The ACHA links similar health professionals from across the country to make a collaborative network to guide and support health services and development.
