ST. JOSEPH, MO. (2010-2-3) A social services agency in the St. Joseph area receives $3,600 thanks to a women's group.

Community action partnership accepted the gift from the "Show Me Women Who Care" group, a 60-member organization. Community action says it plans to help families in crisis with expenses like car repair, baby beds, clothes, and other essentials. The Women Who Care group selects 3 causes to help each quarter. It's next meeting is on Monday at the American Family Insurance headquarters on Mitchell Avenue in St. Joseph. The meeting runs from 5:30 to 6.
