CHILLICOTHE & TRENTON, MO. (2010-2-23) Two landmarks in North Missouri are among 14 being recommended for the national register of historic places.
The Trenton high school and Chillicothe industrial home for girls were both nominated by the state's advisory council on historic preservation. The Chillicothe industrial home for girls is the 46 acre campus on the Southwest side of Chillicothe. 10 buildings and 7 structures were first developed in 1888. The national park service has 45 days to decide whether to add them to the national register based on the state recommendations.
