MARYVILLE, MO (2010-2-3) Regional leaders are declaring the "Great Northwest" lobbying effort a success.

About 300 city, chamber, and economic developers from across the Northwest corner of the State spent yesterday in Jefferson City visiting with lawmakers on issues of importance to our region. Maryville area chamber of commerce director Luke Reven checked in during his rounds at the State Capital and said the group made quite an impression. Reven said not all the lawmakers agreed with the ideas the Great Northwest group were discussing, but all invited the lobby in and treated them with respect.
