ST. JOSEPH, MO. (2010-2-23) A St. Joseph man plead guilty and received the maximum federal prison sentence yesterday.
Rick Hihath and seven other people from Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa plead guilty in October for charges against them and their involvement in dogfighting. Video footage shows Hihath as an overseer of the dogfights. The charges against Hihath have led to the loss of his job at a state school for handicapped children. Hihath is sentenced to 16 months in federal prison by the U.S. district court in Kansas City.
