MARYVILLE, MO (2009-02-03) The future of Cooper Nuclear Power has become a little more clear.
The Nebraska City City Council passed a resolution this week proposing a license renewal to keep the Brownville plant running for another twenty years. Nebraska City clerk Arnold Ahelers says keeping the plant running is very important to the Nebraska City and Brownville communities. Keep that plant going the next step in securing the future of the power plant is sending the resolution to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for a hearing on the license renewal.
