Mound City, MO (2009-12-21) The Mound City board agrees on hiring a firm for G-I-S work after checking state statutes to see if they can.

The board approved an agreement with Midland G-I-S for services costing just more than 22 thousand dollars.

The board hired the firm without the proposal containing a formal bid on their qualifications, capability of performing the work, past record of performance and proximity with the project.

The board agreed state statutes allowed them to do this.

Mound City is also working on other projects, including getting sewer service west of Interstate 29 and approved purchases for City Hall.
