And for elderly family members, it could bring changes in how they're cared for.

A new report says nearly a third of Americans are acting as a caregiver for a loved one.

Ann Black is with A-A-R-P Iowa.

She says planning ahead can lessen the burden.

Black says the holidays are the perfect time to discuss plans for the future since many family members are assembled and can give input.
