St. Joseph, MO (2009-12-18) The Patee (pay-tee) House Museum in St. Joseph is getting 126 thousand dollars from the Federal government to replace the roof.
The National Historic Landmark is connected with the start of the Pony Express but now houses a transportation and communication museum.
The 126 thousand dollar grant was awarded based on competitive scoring and the roof repairs must meet guidelines of the national standards for archaeology and historic preservation.
