MARYVILLE, MO (2009-12-17) The December graduating class at Northwest Missouri State is counting down to Saturday... But it's this afternoon a different kind of graduation takes place.
Fifty-three staff at the University in Maryville is completing a first-of-its kind program.
"Intercultural U" is an inaugural training program aimed at educating participants on multiculturalism from personal, societal, and cultural perspectives.
Director Ame (ah-may) Lambert says now the goal is to take the fifty-plus staffers and spread the word campus wide.
Lambert said she hoped for 25 at the most for the first year and was thrilled at 53 staying with the program.
