Hike and Bike Granted

MARYVILLE, MO (2008-12-02) Great news for several of our communities and their efforts to create hike and bike trails.

MODOT received one hundred six-teen applications for the "safe routes to school" grants… which helps build trails to local schools.

Of the 116 applications received, 27 were awarded and 3 of them go to communities in our region.

Maryville's trails project continues with the award of 250 thousand dollars for the route.

The Maysville r-1 school district also won grant money- nearly 250 thousand dollars for their project.

And West Nodaway r-1 district will get just over 252 thousand for their trails project as well.
