MARYVILLE, MO (2012-12-05)

The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Northwest is organizing the community to help females in need in Africa.

"Project Patricia" is an effort to help African girls by producing re-useable feminine products. Spokesperson for Project Patricia, Cassie Thomas, says being confined to their beds each month affects African girls in many areas, including education.

Thomas says the project is still in need of fabric donations, and those wishing to donate can visit the third floor of the Northwest Administration Building on Monday,December 10th, from 6 - 8:30pm.
