The Northwest women's basketball team overcame a 21 point deficit in the first half to come back and defeat the 8th-ranked team in NAIA...Rogers State 71-68 Saturday afternoon in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Meridee Scott led four Bearcats in double-figures with 17 points...Annie Mathews led the team in rebounds with seven and Ashleigh Nelson was 4 of 6 on three pointers. The Bearcats outscored Rogers State 38-23 in the second half. The Northwest women improve to 5-2 on the season and will also open up MIAA play Wednesday with a 5:30 tip-off at home with Lindenwood. We'll have both games on KXCV/KRNW beginning at 5:10 with our pregame for the women.
