The holiday season comes to a close after new year's day, but the ski season in northwest Missouri is just beginning.

Snow creek near Weston is now open and offering a variety of snow-related activities and lessons on top of skiing. Bill Brandes says despite the lack of snow, the resort's running thanks to the snow guns.

Snow creek is run by peak resorts, a St. Louis based company that operates a dozen ski areas in the east and Midwest.
