Drivers in Missouri beware: starting this upcoming Tuesday more restrictive cell phone bans are going into effect.
The new law will make using hand-held mobile phones and push-to-talk cell phones by commercial motor drivers illegal. School bus drivers and those driving vehicles for 9 to 15 passengers are also included. Chuck Goring is with MoDOT motor carrier services and says studies drove the new law.
Goring says studies have show your chances of getting into a crash go up 23% if you are using a cell phone while driving.© Copyright, KXCV
