Federal lawmakers hear from those directly impacted by this summer's Missouri River Flooding.

A hearing of the subcommittee on water resources was held on Capitol Hill yesterday, and included Holt County Clerk Kathy Kunkle and Atchison county farmer Richard Oswald. Oswald testified he lost a million dollars worth of contracted corn and beans in his bottomland, and gave lawmakers a taste of the impact on citizens and the flood's aftermath.

The Army Coprs testified it's taking into account resident's feedback and are trying to be more flexible for next year's spring runoff.
