Holt county officials are elated at the Corp;s reversal and plan to fund levee repairs.

The Corps had said they couldn't include Levee 497 rebuilding in a federal program, but yesterday announced they will. Holt county clerk Kathy Kunkel says it's a payoff for the levee board, and Forest City and surrounding areas.

The repairs to that levee are expected to cost about 4 million dollars.
