MARYVILLE, MO (2011-12-20)
After months of closure because of flood water, Highway 159 in Holt county is now back open.
A section just more than 2 miles long that runs from the Missouri River bridge to east of Highway 111 had been closed for three large scour holes ranging in size up to 40 feet wide and 50 feet deep. A contractor out of St. Joseph made the repairs since October 20th and on Sunday, 159 re-opened to traffic.
