MARYVILLE, MO (2010-12-16) The Maryville R-2 School District had its regular meeting last night and it started in a different way that usual.
Kristen Thacker received the Belcher Scholarship and led those attending in the Pledge of Allegiance. The first big topic of discussion was the increase in data reporting that schools will are required to do as a result of new state and federal regulations. Viki Miller, Maryville superintendent explains just how this will affect the school. Other things discussed at last nights meeting include expanding safe routes in Maryville, random drug testing, and improving the wireless environment at the school buildings.
