Officials Appointed

MARYVILLE, MO (2010-12-03) Two new public officials in our region have been appointed by the Missouri governor.

Jay Nixon has chosen the new coroner for Putnam county. She is Jennifer Gilworth of Unionville. The coroner's position in Putnam became vacant after the resignation of Stephen Casady. Gilworth owns CJ's convenience store and serves as an office manager for a real-estate office. The governor has also appointed Joy Barnes-novak of Albany as the new public administrator for Gentry county. That seat became available after the death of Judith Pickering. Barnes-Novak is the former teacher at South Harrison and past elementary principal for the Albany School District. She's currently the regional operations manager for edison learning.
