MARYVILLE, MO (2010-12-27) A group of Missouri lawmakers are hoping to clearly see what education in the state will look like in the year 2020.
The Missouri senate educated citizenry 2020 is one of three 2020 committees investigating job creation, health care, and education in Missouri for the next 10 years and setting goals on how to get there. Issues included access, teacher quality, pre-kindergarten preparation and increasing the number of missourians with college degrees. Senator Joseph Keaveny says members have spent the last several months putting together a plan on how Missouri schools will operate and be funded. Details on the committee's findings are available on the Missouri senate website.
