MARYVILLE, MO (2010-12-23) We are down to the final holiday of the season, and there is good news for new year's partiers.
Experts say the average weight gain during the holiday feasts aren't as much as people think. The average person gains just 1 pound from all the extra celebrating. But extension nutrition specialist Tammy Roberts says it really is better to avoid gaining that extra pound than trying to take it off later. Roberts recommends eating before going to a party, or selecting items from the vegetable tray to stay healthy.
