ST. JOSEPH, MO (2010-12-13) Exploring how northwest Missouri employers can get in on the current green movement.
That is the goal of the "Green Jobs Summit" coming up Thursday in St. Joseph. Participants are being asked to register by the end of business today. The summit is being sponsored by the Northwest Workforce Investment Board. Kim Mildward with the group says it is a result of the Green Jobs Task Force established this Sumer and will show how existing businesses can join the movement. Participants will hear from KCP&L on renewable energy resources as well as North Central Missouri College on its wind energy technician training program. Thursday's summit is at the Remington Nature Center in St. Joseph and runs from 11 to 2. You can contact the Northwest Workforce Investment Board to register.
