Fundraising Flock of Flamingos Fly

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO (2010-12-09) The Livingston County HUmane Society hopes to re-start its flamingo fundraiser in the next couple of days.

Residents are ordering the pink birds to se up in neighbors front yards who then pay the Humane Society to have them removed. The Problem: The fabulous flock of fundraising flamingos have flown. Organizer Carrie Almond says someone stole the flock Friday night on Clay Street in Chillicothe. She says another shipment is expected to arrive today or tomorrow and the fundraising to resume. The Livingston County Humane Society Fundraiser is set to last the rest of this month.
