MARYVILLE, MO (2010-12-24) During the holiday season food borne illness is very possible.
About 76 million people get sick with food borne illness each year according to the centers for disease control and prevention. 5,000 of those cases are fatal. Northwest Missouri Regional Nutrition and Health Education specialist, Janet Hackert, says food borne illness can be preventable. Hackert also says to keep cold food cold and hot food hot.
