MARYVILLE, MO (2010-12-15) Long-time Missouri politician kit bond took to the floor of the senate yesterday and said his goodbye.
The republican is retiring from his seat after two terms as Missouri's governor, two years as state auditor, and 24 years as its senator. In his farwell, bond urged the national lawmakers to "Work together and play nice", and left them with his prescription for turning around the economy. Bond announced his retirement from the US Senate last January.
