Santa Visits Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE, MO. (2009-12-04) Main street Chillicothe will transform the city into a winter wonderland tonight as a part of this year's Christmas on the square event in Chillicothe.

The event will start with the first ever snowball drop consisting of 575 snowballs that will cover the Silver Moon Plaza in downtown Chillicothe. The snowball drop will contain ping pong balls that feature promotions and discounts of participating downtown businesses. Children can Roam Santa's village that will be set up at the Alaska house, enjoy lively storytelling and have their picture taken will Jolly old St. Nick. Other festivities include complimentary gift wrapping and horse-drawn sleigh ride. The Christmas on the square event starts tonight at 5 with the snowball drop in downtown Chillicothe.
