Red Cross Logistics

MARYVILLE, MO (2009-12-10) The St. Joseph headquarters of the Red Cross activated shelters during the blizzard thanks to pre-planning and logistics.

Karla Long with the Midland Empire chapter of the Red Cross says they have trailers in all 10 Counties in Northwest Missouri, filled with supplies to be activated at a moment's notice. Long says the local experts are needed because in situations like this week's blizzard, Red Cross workers from St. Joseph couldn't make it up to Rockport to help out.
