IOWA (2009-12-14) The average age of the Iowa farmer is now 60.

To help the next generation get into the business and stay profitable, a workshop was held over the weekend by the group "Practical Farmers Of Iowa". Wade Dooley is a new Iowa farmer who returned to the family business 2 years ago. He says not only are the faces of Midwest farming changing, but so are the times. Practical Farmers of Iowa also offers webinars on current production practices and trends.
