MARYVILLE, MO (2009-12-04) One of Northwest Missouri's largetst energy providers announces it's exploring wind energy.
KCP&L says it wants to add 300 MW of wind energy starting next year. The company already operates a wind farm in Kansas. If the new generators are built, it could provide enough electricity for 100,000 homes. KCP&L is inviting companies involved with wind energy construction to submit proposals to help it reach the October 2011 goal.
